During my time in the Hamilton lab at MacEwan I worked on object recognition memory and the influence of nicotine on memory retention and recall processes. I completed a PhD in Neuroscience at U of A focusing on neuroplasticity and cell transplantation strategies for the treatment of spinal cord injury. Currently, I am on my 3rd year of the Doctor of Medicine program also at U of A, soon to be in my 4th and final year! Due to my broad interests, I will likely apply to multiple residency programs, including psychiatry, family medicine with surgical assist training, and neuropathology. However, I am always changing my mind! Regardless of what I end up doing, I am looking forward to becoming a physician.
