Rachel Dean

Prior to graduating in June of 2019, I tested anxiety-like behavioural effects of various substances using the open field and novel object approach tests. For my thesis, we examined whether the social context during drug administration influences anxiety-like behavioural effects in zebrafish. Since graduating from MacEwan, I have begun, and am in the process of completing, a Master’s of Science Degree in School and Applied Child Psychology at the University of Calgary. My hope is to become a registered Psychologist in order to assist youth with learning and/or mental health challenges.
