I recently received an honours degree in psychology at MacEwan University, where my research primarily focused on zebrafish as a model of anxiety and examining the pharmacological effects of anxiety-modulating compounds on zebrafish behaviour. During my thesis research, I investigated whether the anxiolytic effects of cannabis terpenes could be blocked by CB1 and CB2 cannabinoid receptor antagonists to identify their mechanism of action in the brain.

I am now an MSc Student at The University of Alberta in the neuroscience program preparing to transfer into the PhD program. I am conducting my thesis research at MacEwan’s Zebrafish laboratory under the supervision of Dr. Hamilton where I am currently carrying out a longitudinal study of zebrafish anxiety-like behaviour from larval to adult development.
